The LendPoint App
The LendPoint app, by Brilio Technologies, is a record-keeping app for clients and staff of lending institutions in Kenya that use LendPoint to keep their records.
- LendPoint is not a lender. It does not lend money, offer, arrange, approve or advertise loans, or decide who gets credit. You cannot apply for a loan in the app.
- LendPoint does not hold or move your money. Repayments go straight from your M-Pesa to your institution's own paybill. LendPoint never receives them.
- Your institution is your lender. It sets your loan terms, interest, fees and repayment schedule, keeps your records, and is responsible for your loan.
For clients
- See your existing account with your institution: balance, repayment schedule and statement.
- Repay with M-Pesa. You confirm each payment on your phone with your own M-Pesa PIN.
- Get payment confirmations and reminders before an instalment is due.
- Sign up with your institution's organization code. Your institution completes your registration and sends your login details by SMS.
For staff
- View your institution's client and loan records and the day's collections.
- See each client's statement and repayment history, and activate client logins.
Lending decisions are made by the institution itself, outside the app.
What the app never accesses
The app does not read your contacts, SMS messages, call logs, photos or location, and it has no advertising.
